Different green
This is better, but maybe a touch...ordinary. No offense to anyone who uses this template, but it's just not me. I'm going to have to go find one I really, really love.

You can modify one. That's what I did. I copied out the existing code I had into a word document, so I couldn't possibly lose it. Then I started playing with the colour codes in the new template I chose, until I was reasonably satisfied. There were some blunders along the way, but once I finally had something I could live with, I put in all my links and such and then just changed it. I've done it a few times now, because I was trying to have the blog match the website, but I'm happy with it now.
Maybe that's what you need - your own creative spark on it!

But I'm skeered! What if I blow up the entire World Wide Web? All those poor outsourced techs in India would be out of a job!
I may have to suck it up and figure it out, though.

Me, I have to pay money to change computer stuff. I'm about as technology challenged as it gets.

Well, Sela, believe it or not, this is my template. lol. But I obviously played with it--changed the background colors, the picture in the title bar and added a bunch of fun doodahs in the sidebar--including expanding the sidebar.
Like, Sandra, I copied the template to a word doc first, so I wouldn't lose stuff, then it was all a matter of trial and trial and error. If the blogger selection is working for you, why don't you google for some free blog skins, there's a lot of them out there.
