Cute Quiz
I was shocked to discover that I'm only barely into the Dixie category. Those who have heard me speak are aware that wherever I go, there's a little bit of Texas. (I wanna move back to East Texas!)

OK, I'm going to plead my ignorance: what's the story behind this word 'dixie'? My hubby says it's a take on the 'Mason-Dixon line', but I'm not convinced. :P Thanks.
Maili, you got me thinking so I did a little research. My first instinct was to go with your dh, but it looks like we're both a little off. Here's one website with a little more info. Southern History

Sela, love the post. LOL I only got 61% Dixie! What's up with that? I know I haven't started changing into no danged Yankee (even though I have lived right near Chicago now for 11 years...lol) Thanks for the laughs.
I got 60% (Dixie). *G* I can't rightly say where my speech is from since I was born in CA, spent my toddler/early elementary school years in Kansas and was raised for the most part in Northern Virginia.
